This multitopic FOA is a joint effort between EERE’s Advanced Materials and Manufacturing Technologies Office (AMMTO), the Building Technologies Office (BTO), and DOE’s Office of Electricity (OE).

Specifically, the goals of this multi-topic FOA are to:
• Validate and demonstrate next generation materials and manufacturing processes including domestic pilot demonstrations and related technologies to support the transition to U.S. manufacturing;
• Enable environmentally and socially responsible domestic manufacturing with diversified domestic supply of feedstocks including from recycled goods; and
• Mature nascent technologies, processes, and methods that improve the performance and market penetration of clean energy technologies and emerging building efficiency technologies.

The Tech Deployment Track is an eight month accelerator program
that compresses the time, proximity, and attention required to forge partnerships,
identify projects, and move promising climate tech companies toward deployment
of their products or services in Alaska. Our focus is companies having a real impact on climate change who work on solutions in energy, transportation, or industry. However, we are open to any climate tech company who feels they have a market in Alaska.

The Destination Decarbonization Challenge is a case study competition open to undergraduate students who want to get involved in the energy industry, solve challenges surrounding carbon emissions in their local region, and win some prize money along the way!

The Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE) Science and Technology Policy Fellowship offers candidates an opportunity to learn about the federal government and its role in advancing renewable energy with the Solar Energy Technologies Office (SETO) at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) in Washington, D.C. Participants will use their expertise to support solar energy research and development by guiding strategy, designing funding programs, and managing SETO-funded projects in the following areas:

• Photovoltaic technologies
• Concentrating solar-thermal power technologies
• Grid systems integration technologies
• Behavioral science, strategic analysis, and technical assistance
• Manufacturing and technology transfer
• Environmental justice and finance
• Communication and stakeholder engagement

Climate Circle participants have access to world-class coaching, legal counsel, warm connections to industry leaders, and a peer group of ventures that are all working on innovative solutions to tackle climate change.

The American-Made Program facilitates prizes that help to create partnerships that connect entrepreneurs to the private sector and the DOE national labs. The AMC program currently represents more than 16 offices within the DOE, 300+organizations, and more than $100M in cash prizes and support. This program supports 30+ unique prize challenges consisting of prizes that advance numerous energy technologies including solar, water, geothermal, hydrogen, buildings, transportation, wind, and more. These prizes also advance community development, clean energy capacity, new business creation, technology commercialization, and energy justice initiatives.
